
Kaan Sariaydin, former board member and director general of Morgan Stanley Menkul Değerler A.Ş. in Turkey, said that key issues required to be improved in order to make Turkey the leading country were education, energy, technology and research. Mentioning that Turkey must utilize its wind potential, he said: “1mW is produced by 12 people in this sector. This means that a great employment may be provided.”
Within the framework of the events performed for the 15th foundation day of Kahramanmaras Leader Businessmen Association (KALIDA), a conference with the topic “Economic Crisis and Methods of Overcoming it for Turkey” has been organized. Delivering a speech in the conference organized in Yimpas Hotel, Kaan Sariaydin assessed the crisis in terms of Turkey. He said that Turkey was included among the countries mostly affected by the crisis in the world in terms of production however was in a much better condition in terms of finance institutions.
Mentioning that the crisis challenges production and consumption habits, Sariaydin said that energy efficiency and consumption habits must be changed. Mentioning that countries that are able to do these will be successful in the future, Sariaydin said: “Wind is a cost free resource for Turkey, which ranks the second following England in terms of continuous and powerful wind potential.”
